Bhenoy Dembla: Career Across Engineering, Finance, and Private Equity

Bhenoy “Ben” Dembla has built a professional history spanning engineering, finance, and private equity over more than three decades. Beginning his career as a systems hardware engineer, he held positions at AutoDynamics and ABB-Simcon, where he developed and supervised installations of control room panels and simulators for industrial plants in sectors including petrochemicals, pulp and paper, and energy. Bhenoy Dembla’s work involved designing hardware, authoring user manuals, and training engineers on complex operating systems.

Following these technical roles, B. Dembla transitioned into financial and market analysis with General Chemical Corp. He later expanded into investment activities, focusing on private equity and venture capital, working independently in Chicago and internationally. His investment work has included consulting on acquisitions, capital raising, operational execution, and exit strategies across industries.

Ben Dembla’s corporate governance experience features service as a Non-Executive Director at Precision Rubber Industries and as a longstanding member of the board at Interior Crafts, Inc. His educational background includes an MBA in finance and corporate Accounting from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School and a BS in electrical engineering from Syracuse University. Today, B. Dembla applies his expertise to philanthropy, having created a family foundation to fund medical research projects.
